Dear Wind River Homeowners,

I want to provide you with the latest update on the pond contamination issue and the upcoming remediation efforts.

Remediation Plan:

• Remediation will begin on Friday, August 29, using an environmentally safe biological and biochemical treatment designed to break down the contamination without disturbing the pond, retaining walls, landscaping, or fencing.
• The treatment will be applied in three phases:
  • Friday, August 29
  • Friday, September 5
  • Friday, September 12
• Testing will be conducted after each application. After the third round of testing, results will determine whether any additional treatment is needed.

Safety Measures:

• Signs remain posted around the ponds, and access continues to be restricted. Please do not enter the pond area or allow children or pets near the water until remediation and testing are complete.
• Due to reports of individuals ignoring the warning signs and fishing in the pond, a temporary mesh fence is being considered to further secure the area during treatment.

Next Steps:

Once the remediation plan is complete and testing confirms the ponds are safe, I will provide a full update to the community, including restoration steps to bring the ponds back to their original condition.
